Is the ‘Fast 800’ 800-calorie diet a good idea?
This extreme doctor-prescribed weight loss diet is popularised by Michael Mosley and has research supporting its ability to lose weight and keep some of it off for up to 24 months (longer than a lot of weight loss trials, lol).
So, in theory, you can absolutely say that it ‘works’ for weight loss.
However, I think it’s a good example that epitomises how extreme weight loss diets can be because a lot of you will hear “800 calorie diets” and think “absolutely no way in hell is that a good idea”.
So, a bigger question is where is the line between a weight loss diet that works, and something that resembles a super extreme starvation protocol that you wouldn’t actually ever recommend someone follows?
Just something to think about.
