I decided to kick start 2017 with a healthy detox. Whenever the waistband on my pants and skirts starts getting a little snug I whip up a batch of detox smoothies and replace a meal or two a day with them to help me get back on track. Not only do these smoothies taste great but they are packed full of goodness so you don’t feel like you’re going without. Adding nuts and seeds to your detox smoothies are also great for keeping you fuller longer as well as for providing necessary omega fatty acids.
For all three detox smoothies I used Almond Breeze Almond Milk which is a milk alternative made from almonds. It tastes great and because it doesn’t need to be refrigerated before it’s opened you can keep a stock in the pantry so you always have some on hand. I use Almond Breeze on my cereal in the morning, in my smoothies and it even makes a delicious latte.
