If you’ve been working from home for more than a year, it’s easy to get so focused on meetings and your to-do list that hours go by without taking a break. Staring at a screen for that long can cause eye strain and headaches that affect your productivity. Not getting up to move around can also cause back and hip pain from poor posture, stiff muscles, and a tense neck and shoulders. In this TikTok video, Regina Fang recommended a great computer hack to help remind you to take work breaks: download the Google Chrome EyeCare Extension.

You can set reminders to look away from the screen and get up and walk around or stretch. It helps you follow the 20-20-20 rule for eye health: every 20 minutes, take your eyes off your computer, and look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. It’s so important for your mental health to give your eyes, brain, and body a break from sitting and working.
